The Project
Secure the roof. Find the partner. Restore the school.
This is not a vague dream. Chandler already restored the Armory. The model exists. The urgency is now.
Immediate need
Roof work stops the water damage cycle and protects the structure while a long-term reuse plan comes together.
What we seek
A restoration or adaptive-reuse partner, or a buyer ready to take the project and finish what Kim started.
What we bring
Community will, alumni energy, documented history, planning groundwork, and a proven local restoration precedent.
Proof it can work: the Armory
Kim’s first win in Chandler was restoring the old Armory into the Route 66 Interpretive Center. Same quarry stone. Same town. Real grants, real sweat equity, real results.
Memorial High School is the sequel: larger, more ambitious, and just as possible with the right team.

Possible futures
Conversations already include community uses, housing, makerspace energy, and other adaptive-reuse ideas. The right partner will help choose what fits Chandler best.
